2019 Quarterly Data Reports

1 October to 31 December 2019

During the second quarter of the 2019-20 financial year (1 October to 31 December 2019), there were:

  • 5,239,531 boardings recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – an increase of 11.4% over the same period in 2018; and
  • 3,840,088 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – an increase of 7.1% over the same period in 2018.

1 July to 30 September 2019

During the first quarter of the 2019-20 financial year (1 July to 30 September 2019), there were:

  • 5,755,048 boardings recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – an increase of 11.1% over the same period in 2018; and
  • 4,241,403 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – an increase of 6.4% over the same period in 2018.

1 October to 31 December 2020

During the second quarter of the 2020-21 financial year, there were:

  • 3,606,718 boardings recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – a decrease of 34.1% from the same period in 2019; and
  • 2,585,446 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – a decrease of 36.6% from the same period in 2019.

  • 3,288,483 boardings recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – a decrease of 45% from the same period in 2019; and
  • 2,372,767 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – a decrease of 46.9% from the same period in 2019.

  • 1,257,759 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – a decrease of 70.9% from the same period in 2019.

  • 3,372,945 journeys recorded on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services – an increase of 45.79% from the same period in 2022.
