Cost

Cash: Transport Canberra together with Spilt Milk are offering event goers a special fare to get to Commonwealth Park. $2.50 cash fares will apply, so don’t forget your coins!

MyWay: if you plan on using public transport during your stay in Canberra save on cash fares and purchase a pre-loaded MyWay card from one of over 30 Recharge Agents across the City or online. You can use MyWay to travel to Spilt Milk with fares charged at off peak rates.

Travel by bus

$2.50 cash fares can be purchased with the driver on the presentation of your Spilt Milk ticket OR purchase a $2.50 concession paper ticket from the closet Ticket Vending Machine and present both your paper ticket and Spilt Milk ticket to the driver upon boarding.

Travel by Light Rail

Purchase a $2.50 concession paper ticket from the Ticket Vending Machine at the stop and upon request present your concession paper ticket along with your Spilt Milk ticket.

Getting to Commonwealth Park

From Gungahlin (via EPIC and Northbourne Avenue)

Light Rail (R1) – Operates every 15 minutes or better from 6:00am – 1:00am on Saturday’s between Gungahlin and the City.

City Interchange

From the City, catch the below Rapid bus routes from the City Interchange which will drop event goers at the bus stops on Commonwealth Avenue (Regatta Point) – these are your closest bus stops to the event.

Return Services

FREE return bus services will depart from the Regatta Point bus stops on Commonwealth Avenue following the event, from 8.00pm to 12.00am.

  • Woden and Tuggeranong Interchanges
    • Use Southbound Stop 8889 Commonwealth Avenue.
  • City and Belconnen Interchanges
    • Use Northbound Stop 8888 Commonwealth Avenue.
  • Gungahlin Interchange
    • Use Northbound Stop 8888 Commonwealth Avenue to the City Bus Interchange and transfer to the light rail servicing Northbourne Avenue and EPIC to Gungahlin.
  • Queanbeyan and Narrabundah (via Kingston)
    • Q-City Transit will be operating charters after the event from the City Interchange to Queanbeyan along Sturt Avenue, Narrabundah.
