New bus service to Straithnairn, Ginninderry

New bus service for Straithnairn, Ginninderry

A new introductory service for residents of Strathnairn, Ginninderry – the Straithnairn Loop, will commence Monday 2 March 2020.

The service will connect residents of the new suburb of Strathnairn, Ginninderry, to the Kippax Bus Station, Kingsford Smith School and Macgregor Primary School. The service will also allow for residents to easily connect with the wider bus Transport Canberra network linking to the Rapid 2 service through to Belconnen, the city and Barton.

The new loop service will provide regular half hour services, 7 days a week, with an additional 15-minute frequency during weekday peak periods.

The service is free of charge. Customers will need to pay to use the rest of the Transport Canberra network. For information about fares visit Tickets and MyWay.

The new HINO Poncho buses seat around 26 people and are fully compliant with disability access requirements including the ability to carry passengers in a wheelchair.
