The Canberra Nara Candle Festival is a celebration of the sister-city relationship between Canberra and Nara, Japan.
Celebrating 25 years of the Sister City relationship this year, visitors will be mesmerised by the sounds of Japanese music and enchanting lighting that highlights the features of the beautiful Peace Park.

Free Park and Ride Shuttle Service
A free shuttle bus will run every 10-15 minutes between 3:30pm and 9:30pm from car parks in the Parliamentary Triangle.
The pick-up and drop-off points are:
- Corner of Langton Crescent and Newlands Street
- Bus Stop 3258 on King Edward Terrace, at the National Library.
- Nara Peace Park

Transport Canberra’s Blue Rapid 300 services operate from Belconnen, City, Woden, & Tuggeranong Bus Stations with high frequency, providing easy access to Commonwealth Avenue stops 2247 & 2248 near Albert Hall. Both stops are within easy walking distance to Lennox Gardens. Regular fares apply to all bus travel.
