Spring has officially sprung, bringing with it warmer weather, longer days and a flower show in full bloom. Floriade, Australia’s premium celebration of spring is set to delight the green thumb, floral aficionado or avant garde(ner) in you.
Running from 14 September to 13 October 2019, Floriade returns to Canberra for its 32nd year.
NightFest will illuminate Floriade from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 October with dramatic lighting displays, music and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Transport Canberra can take you to Floriade with a number of routes servicing Commonwealth Avenue near to the event.

Transport Canberra’s Rapid 2, Rapid 4, Rapid 6, Rapid 7 and Rapid 10 operate from Belconnen, City, Woden, & Tuggeranong Bus Stations with high frequency, providing easy access to Commonwealth Park via stops 8888 & 8889 on Commonwealth Avenue.
Bus services to Floriade via the bus stops on Commonwealth Avenue depart from Platform 2 and Platform 4 at the City Bus Station.
If you are travelling from Gungahlin to Floriade you can catch the Light Rail R1 into the City before transferring onto a Transport Canberra bus service from Platform 2 and Platform 4. Light rail services run between Gungahlin Place and Alinga Street.

Commonwealth Park is also an approximate 1km walk from the City Bus Station, via the footbridge over Parkes Way.
Floriade’s NightFest runs from Thursday 3 October until Sunday 6 October 2019.
Transport Canberra’s Rapid routes continue to provide access via Commonwealth Avenue on weekdays and weekends.
