Beam Mobility and Neuron Mobility operate shared e-scooters in Canberra under the shared e-scooter scheme.
The shared e-scooter scheme has proven very popular with about 2,900 trips per day taken since the scheme began in September 2020 – that’s over 2.4 million completed trips.
The scheme is operating across key areas in central Canberra, Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden Valley, Weston Creek, Molonglo and Tuggeranong. For more information see the shared e-scooters map.
Shared e-scooters are a convenient option for short trips on their own or combined with public transport. They also assist Canberra’s economy through providing employment and in encouraging travel to local businesses.
Please check the provider’s app to see where the e-scooters can be used. And remember to park your scooter well:
- Don’t leave your e-scooter where it might obstruct other people walking or cycling.
- Try to park it in a tidy manner and so it is convenient for the next user.
- Try not to leave it somewhere where it may get damaged.
The shared e-scooters have been allowed under the Dockless Shared Micromobility Policy (WORD 169KB) and Guidelines (PDF 188KB).
