Student MyWay guide

MyWay is the smartcard ticketing system used to pay for travel on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services. A MyWay smartcard stores money and travel entitlements. It remains valid for two years from the date of the last transaction. Customers are required to use a MyWay card or a pre-paid ticket (we don’t accept cash).

Student MyWay cards and concession bus fares are available for primary school students and full time high school and college students.

Tertiary MyWay cards and concession bus fares are available for full time students attending university and CIT.

Some full-time students are eligible for free travel Monday to Friday during the school term under the Student Transport Program.
