All items found on our buses and at bus stations, or handed to our staff, are sent to the Lost Property Office at Tuggeranong Bus Depot.

Contact us first
If you’ve lost an item please complete our lost property form.
Our staff will search for your item and get back to you if or when it is located. It may take a day or two for your lost item to be found and received by the Lost Property Office. We receive hundreds of lost items each week, so we need time to find your item.
If you have any questions you can call us on 6207 7558 (if unattended, leave a message with your name, phone number and description of the lost item).
If your registered MyWay card has been lost or stolen contact 13 17 10 during business hours to cancel your card. This will ensure that your travel credit is protected, so it can be applied to a new card for your use.
Collect your item
If your item has been located, collect it from the Lost Property Office at Tuggeranong Depot, 220 Scollay Street (opposite Officeworks) in Greenway. The Lost Property Office is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
You should wait to be advised your lost property has been found prior to attending the Lost Property Office.
You will need to provide photographic identification and/or proof of purchase when claiming a lost item. Transport Canberra retains full discretion on whether to release the item or not.
The closest bus stop to the Lost Property Office is on Scollay Street. There is on-street parking on Scollay Street with a sign posted pathway leading to the Lost Property Office.
Unclaimed items
Transport Canberra generally keeps lost property for three months, except for hazardous, unhygienic and perishable items, which can’t be stored. These will be disposed of on the same day or as deemed appropriate by Transport Canberra.
All unclaimed or uncollected items will be disposed of securely. Depending on the nature of the item, unclaimed or uncollected items may be donated to charitable organisations.
