About the project

The ACT Government is investing in a purpose-built CIT campus, youth foyer and new public transport interchange for Woden, stimulating the local economy and supporting the revitalisation of Canberra’s southern hub.

These works are delivering:

  • a new public transport interchange on Callam Street
  • new bus layovers on Launceston Street and Easty Street
  • upgrades and improvements to local roads and intersections
  • upgrades to local cycle and foot paths
  • new secure bike storage facilities, and
  • new public places and green spaces as part of a new CIT precinct.

Progress update

Roadworks and construction activity related to the new public transport interchange and CIT Campus is ongoing in the Woden Town Centre.

A number of road closures and diversions are in place.
