Park and Ride car parks are located across Canberra along rapid bus and light rail routes. There are over 20 Park and Ride locations where you can park your car for free and catch public transport. Some of these locations require a permit which must be displayed when parking in the car park.

Permit applications require 10 working days for processing. Park and Ride permits are issued for 3 calendar months, beginning the month after your application is received. Permits are valid for use at any Park and Ride location and must be renewed every 3 months.
Park and Ride permits are only valid if:
clearly displayed in the vehicle to which it was issued (permits cannot be transferred to other users)
users continue their journey on a Transport Canberra bus or light rail service
used at a Park and Ride designated location
used within the issued 3 calendar month period (i.e. not after the stamped expiry date).
Failure to park in accordance with permit conditions or parking regulations may result in an infringement notice or the permit may be revoked.
Transport Canberra has drop off and pick up zones along the light rail corridor. Referred to as 'Kiss and Ride', these zones cannot be used for parking and the driver must remain in the vehicle. Locations are outlined on the Kiss and Ride map and include:
Manning Clark North
Mapleton Avenue
Nullarbor Avenue
Well Station Drive.
Please note during light rail service disruptions, these facilities can be converted into temporary replacement bus stops.
