Park and Ride


Park and Ride car parks are located across Canberra along rapid bus and light rail routes. There are over 20 Park and Ride locations where you can park your car for free and catch public transport. Some of these locations require a permit which must be displayed when parking in the car park.

  • Kippax: Moyes Crescent
Gungahlin
  • Gungahlin Town Centre: Gozzard Street, access via Efkarpidis Street (permit required)
  • Well Station Drive: Intersection with Flemington Road
Central
  • EPIC: Flemington Road
  • Fyshwick: Tom Price Street
  • Lyneham: oposite Swindon Street
Woden, Weston Creek and Molonglo
  • Cooleman Court: Liardet Street (permit required)
  • Curtin Shops: Carruthers Street
  • North Weston: Kirkpatrick Street
  • Mawson: Mawson Drive and Athllon Drive, access from Mawson Place (permit and non-permit spaces)
  • Mawson Ova: Beasley Street South
Tuggeranong
  • Calwell Shops: Webber Crescent
  • Chisholm Shops: Bentham Street
  • Kambah Village: Marconi Crescent
  • Kambah Centre: O'Halloran Circuit
  • Tuggeranong Interchange: access from Anketell Street (permit required)
  • Wanniassa: Athllon Drive, access via Rylah Crescent

Park and Ride permit

Apply for a Park and Ride permit online. The following eligibility requirements apply:

Permit applications require 10 working days for processing. Park and Ride permits are issued for 3 calendar months, beginning the month after your application is received. Permits are valid for use at any Park and Ride location and must be renewed every 3 months.

Failure to park in accordance with permit conditions or parking regulations may result in an infringement notice or the permit may be revoked.

Light rail drop off and pick up zones

Transport Canberra has drop off and pick up zones along the light rail corridor. Referred to as 'Kiss and Ride', these zones cannot be used for parking and the driver must remain in the vehicle. Locations are outlined on the Kiss and Ride map and include:
