Bus

FREE chartered bus services:

Free chartered buses to Brumbies and Raiders games at GIO stadium will be operated by Transport Canberra and Q-City Transit.

Charters will depart from all major Transport Canberra bus stations and return services depart GIO Stadium approximately 20 minutes after the game ends.

FREE travel on regular Transport Canberra services:

Free travel is available on all Transport Canberra bus and light rail services after 4.00pm on Friday 27 September 2019 to pre-purchased ticket holders. Please present your game day ticket to the bus driver when boarding or to CMET staff upon request.

The following regular Transport Canberra routes will service nearby to GIO Stadium.

Weekdays: R2, R3, R4 and R9.

Saturday: R2, R3, R4 and R9.

Sunday: R2, R3, R4 and R9.

Light Rail

Light rail services run between Gungahlin Place and the City with stops along Northbourne Avenue and Flemington Road. Passengers can transfer onto a regular Transport Canberra route along the service or onto a Q-City Transit charter at the Gungahlin Place Bus Station or City Bus Station to GIO Stadium.

FREE travel is available on all Transport Canberra light rail services after 4.00pm on Friday 27 September 2019 after presenting your game day ticket to CMET Staff.

Park & Ride

To travel to events at GIO Stadium you can consider Park & Ride. For convenience you can use an allocated parking space to park your car before catching a bus to complete your journey. You’ll be helping to reduce congestion on ACT roads and the demand for parking at GIO Stadium.
