CDC Canberra provides free charter services to Brumbies and Raiders games at GIO Stadium.

Brumbies v Reds on Saturday 17 May 2025

  • GIO Stadium gates open: 16:30
  • Kick-off: 19:35

  • Departs platform 3 at Gungahlin bus interchange at 16:25♿, 17:35♿, 18:15♿ and 18:55♿
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Belconnen

  • Departs Cohen Street platform 1 at 16:25♿, 17:50♿, 18:25♿ and 19:00♿
  • Departs Belconnen Westfield at 16:27♿, 17:52♿, 18:27♿ and 19:02♿
  • Departs Belconnen bus interchange platform 1 at 16:30♿, 17:55♿, 18:30♿ and 19:05♿
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes from Cohen Street to GIO Stadium.

Tuggeranong

  • Departs platform 9 at Tuggeranong bus interchange at 15:45♿, 17:45♿ and 18:15♿
  • The journey takes approximately 60 minutes from Tuggeranong to GIO Stadium, via Woden and the City.

Woden

  • Departs platform 6 at Woden bus interchange at 16:05♿, 18:05♿ and 18:35♿
  • The journey takes approximately 40 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

City

  • Departs City interchange platform 5 bus stop at 16:25♿, 18:25♿, 18:45♿ and 18:55♿
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Kingston

  • Departs The Dock: Eastlake Parade at 18:30
  • The journey takes approximately 30 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Braddon/Turner

  • Departs BentSpoke Brewing Co, Mort Street, Braddon at 18:20
  • Departs The RUC Turner Bowls Club, stop ID 4613, McCaughey Street before Masson Street, Turner at 18:35
  • The journey takes approximately 40 minutes from BentSpoke to GIO Stadium.

Queanbeyan

  • Departs platform 1 at 18:20♿ and arrives at GIO Stadium at 19:05
  • The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

Buses will depart 20 minutes after full time.

Raiders v Titans on Sunday 18 May 2025

  • The journey takes approximately 60 minutes from Tuggeranong to GIO Stadium, via Woden and the City.

  • The journey takes approximately 40 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

City

  • Departs City interchange platform 5 bus stop at 14:25♿, 14:40♿, 14:50♿, 15:00, 15:10♿, 15:15 and 15:20♿
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Queanbeyan

  • Departs platform 1 at 14:45♿ and arrives at GIO Stadium at 15:30
  • The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

Buses will depart 20 minutes after full time.

Bus

Chartered buses

FREE chartered bus services are operated by CDC Canberra.

Charters depart from Transport Canberra interchanges and return services depart GIO Stadium approximately 20 minutes after the game ends.

Regular Transport Canberra services

The following Transport Canberra routes service GIO Stadium. Please note regular fares apply.

  • Weekdays: R2, R3, R4 and R9.
  • Saturday: R2, R3, R4 and R9.
  • Sunday: R2, R3, R4 and R9.
Light rail

Light rail runs between Gungahlin Place and the City with stops along Northbourne Avenue and Flemington Road. Passengers can transfer to a regular Transport Canberra bus or a CDC Canberra bus at the Gungahlin interchange or City interchange.

Park & Ride

Consider Park & Ride to travel to events at GIO stadium. For convenience you can use an allocated parking space to park your car before catching public transport to complete your journey. You’ll be helping to reduce congestion on ACT roads and the demand for parking at GIO Stadium.
