Spring is almost here, and with it comes the return of Floriade, Australia's biggest celebration of spring.
From Saturday 12 September to Sunday 11 October 2026, Commonwealth Park will once again come alive with spectacular floral displays, entertainment, food, markets and family-friendly activities.
Whether you're visiting for a few hours or making a day of it, there are more ways to get to Floriade this year, making it easier than ever to enjoy the blooms.

Transport Canberra's regular bus and light rail network makes it easy to get to and from Floriade.
Closest bus stop to Floriade
The closest bus stop to the Regatta Point entrance is Bus Stop 8888 on Commonwealth Avenue (southbound).
This stop is serviced by: R2, R4, R5, R6, R7, R10, 57 and 58
Returning from Floriade
Due to major infrastructure works, bus stop on Commonwealth Avenue nearest Regatta Point (8889) is closed.
When travelling northbound after your visit, please use one of the following nearby stops:
- Bus Stop 2248 at Albert Hall on Commonwealth Avenue (R4, R5, R7 and R10)
- Bus Stop 3259 at the Treasury Building on King Edward Terrace (R2 and R6)
- Bus Stop 1777 on Langton Crescent before King Edward Terrace (57 and 58)
- Bus Stop 3422 on London Circuit before Constitution Avenue (R2, R4, R5, R6, R7, R10, 57 and 58)
Travelling from Gungahlin
Catch light rail to Alinga Street in the city and then:
- Connect with the free Floriade shuttle from Platform 8 at the City Interchange
- Catch routes R2, R4, R5, R6, R7, R10, 57 or 58
- Enjoy a short walk to Commonwealth Park
Travelling from elsewhere in Canberra
Frequent bus services connect Floriade with destinations across Canberra, including:

Regular Transport Canberra bus and light rail services operate until 11:00 pm Sunday to Thursday and 12:30 am Friday and Saturday, helping you enjoy the blooms and get home safely each night.
Regular fares apply to Transport Canberra bus and light rail services. Don't forget to tap on and off when travelling.
The free Floriade shuttle buses, operated by CDC Canberra, run daily between Platform 8 at the City Interchange, National Triangle and Floriade.
Free Weekend Floriade Express buses operate from Tuggeranong, Woden and Belconnen Bus Interchanges, providing a convenient way to connect with Canberra's biggest spring event without the hassle of parking.

Please note that the free Floriade shuttle service will not appear in Transport Canberra's Journey Planner as they are operated by CDC Canberra.
Walk, ride or scoot
Make the journey part of the adventure this spring.
Floriade is an easy walk from the city, with Commonwealth Park located just a short distance from Canberra Centre. The Floriade Walking Trail offers a pleasant route to the event and is a great way to enjoy Canberra's spring sunshine.
Please note that pedestrian access along Commonwealth Avenue from the city has changed, for more information, visit the Built for CBR website.
Cycling is another great option. Bicycle parking is available at all Floriade entry gates, making it easy to ride to the event and continue exploring the city. Make sure you bring your own lock and chain.
Shared e-scooters and e-bikes are also available throughout the city, providing a flexible and fun way to travel. Please be aware that scooters are not allowed to be ridden in the Floriade site .

Park and Ride
