Meet Brock: From bus enthusiast to certified bus driver


Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up? Perhaps an astronaut, a doctor or something a little bit more creative like a make-up artist for the stars?

Well, for Brock it has always been clear: Bus driver. (Or really - anything to do with buses and the networks that support them!

Call this a dream truly 21 years in the making. As Brock, a self-described "bus enthusiast" from the young age of 3, recently became a certified bus driver for Transport Canberra.

He and other five bus drivers celebrated their graduation last month, marking the completion of four rigorous weeks of training where they learnt how to become safe and successful bus drivers.

Brock shared with us his excitement of finally achieving this milestone.

"I've always had this passion for buses, the network and how everything works. That dream has led to getting to this point. After working for Transport Canberra for about 4 years, I've been slowly building up to this - and it's finally here!"
