Meet Monika Rinwa – a mother of two, she has been working with CMET for over two years as a customer service officer.
Being a mum, Monika loves to read books in her spare time although she admits that she doesn't get much free time. Working full-time hours is not easy, but her husband is very supportive. “To balance our work and family responsibilities, my husband works during the day while I work mostly night shifts,” said Monika.
Monika's children visited her workplace on CMET’s recent family day and they had a great time, especially her son, who loves public transport. “Sometimes I share some good things to build up their moral values, like how we help vulnerable people during their journey.”
Monika finds motivation in helping people to get to their destination and socialising with them. She also enjoys seeing the excitement in kids when they travel on light rail. The staff and manager are always helpful and understanding of her responsibilities as a mother. Monika also sets aside dedicated, quality time for her kids, such as a regular family night or weekend activities.
The most rewarding aspect for Monika is the sense of fulfilment that comes from successfully balancing work and family responsibilities. She takes pride in being able to support her family financially while also being present and involved in her kids' lives.
Monika - your dedication to balancing work and family responsibilities while still upholding strong values is truly inspirational. Thank you for being a shining example to us all.
