We are thrilled to introduce you to one of our remarkable team members, Prince Khera, who has an inspiring story of career growth and is dedicated to supporting new trainees.
Prince has been an invaluable part of Transport Canberra (TC) for the past eight years. He began his journey as a part-time bus driver. Three years later, he secured a full-time position. In late 2019, an exciting opportunity came his way to become a trainer assessor, and he secured the role! Now when Prince is not training new recruits for TC he is out on the road helping drive our community to where they need to go.
If you possess excellent customer service skills and are eager to learn and develop new abilities, Prince encourages you to join the TC family. You will be warmly welcomed on board and our trainers will provide you with the training you need to excel in this role.
The training program covers a comprehensive range of aspects, ensuring that trainees will graduate with confidence and acquire the necessary skills to become proficient bus drivers. "We had some trainees in the past sitting in the classroom struggling with their written assessments. Knowing English is not their first language, our trainers would provide them with some extra assistance. We can ask them some questions or verbally assist them to make sure that they understand the course material that we are delivering. We want to make sure that everyone's been given a fair chance. We just hope they have equal opportunities to learn, grow and successfully complete the four-week training course," said Prince.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Prince for his dedication and commitment as a bus driver trainer. His inspiring journey and willingness to assist new trainees exemplify the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines our organisation.
