  • Provide staff with maps and information about local shared path routes and information about how to incorporate e-scooting into their daily commute.
  • Offer incentives, competitions and social events around e-scooting to/at work.

Encouraging public transport use helps our city and the environment by:

What the ACT Government is doing

To help people rethink their mode of travel and make the switch to include e-scooting, the ACT Government is prioritising projects and initiatives that provide safe infrastructure for e-scooting and a better connected and maintained shared path network. This includes:

  • improving off road paths and protected cycleways to make people feel safe on e-scooters adequate separation from motor vehicle traffic
  • improving education about how to use e-scooters, with an emphasis on meeting transport needs and safe and courteous riding behaviour
  • refining geolocation settings to encourage orderly parking of devices
  • better integration with public transport so that these two modes can be used together, with a focus on connecting up e-scooters with the high frequency Rapid routes and supporting their use at special events to reduce parking and traffic congestion
  • raising London Circuit to enable people to scoot between the city and the lake
