The Spilt Milk music festival returns to the capital on Saturday 13 December 2025 at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC).
Taking public transport is the easiest way to the event.
Take advantage of the fare free period from Saturday night from 6:00 pm. MyWay+ offers a range of simple payment options. Don’t forget to tap on and off with your preferred methods to register your free trip.
For attendees taking a light rail service to EPIC and Racecourse, a special event timetable will be in place with increased frequency from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm to 1:30 am.
There will be free event shuttle buses (coordinated by festival organisers through CDC Canberra) available to and from the event with pickup locations at Woden, Belconnen and City bus interchanges between 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, dropping off at EPIC.
From Woden, these free shuttles will depart from the Woden Interchange platform 6.
From Belconnen, these free shuttles will depart from the Cohen Street Interchange platform 3 (bus stop 4479), Westfield Belconnen platform 1 (bus stop 5501) and Belconnen Community Bus Interchange platform 1 (bus stop 5511).
From the City, these free shuttles will depart from the City Bus Interchange platform 3. This is the most direct option from the City to get you there quickly.
For the journey home, free return shuttles will operate only from EPIC to the City Interchange from 8:00 pm. Event attendees can then continue their journey using regular Transport Canberra bus services.
Please note that these free services will not be reflected in the journey planner.

Impacts to light rail services
Large crowds heading to and from the Spilt Milk festival are expected on light rail services throughout the day. Please allow extra travel time.
To help traffic flow from departing crowds, light rail services will not stop at Swinden Street, Phillip Avenue and Sandford Street stops from 9:00 pm until last service. Passengers who wish to use these stops must make alternative arrangements.
From approximately 10:30 pm, a number of light rail services will also help traffic flow from departing crowds by only operating from EPIC to Alinga Street before looping back to pick up more passengers.
Passengers departing northbound from Alinga Street are asked to follow advice from Customer Service Officers, passenger information displays and PA announcements regarding operating services.
Impacts to bus services
Due to road closures in place by Spilt Milk organisers, bus route 18 will be diverted and will not service Bimberi at all on Saturday 13 December 2025. Alternative bus stops will be in place. More information on Spilt Milk Music Festival bus stop closures.
All other bus services travelling to Gungahlin and from Gungahlin to the City, will still be serviced.
