Transport Canberra is aware that some customers have been charged fares on Friday 3 October 2025 despite Fare free Friday being in place.

A technical issue has been identified and this is no longer occurring. Refunds are taking place and are being processed automatically.

Please be aware that refunds may take between 1-3 days depending on your bank.

Route 47 diversions on Coppins Crossing Road


Several bus stops in the Whitlam and Denman Prospect areas will not be serviced from 6:00 am Tuesday 7 October 2025 until 6:00 pm Sunday 12 October 2025. Route 47 will only service stops between Belconnen and Whitlam. This is due to construction for the Molonglo River Bridge project.

  • Whitlam and Denman Prospect regions beyond Coppins Crossing Road.

When

  • From 6:00 am Tuesday 7 October 2025 until 6:00 pm Sunday 12 October 2025

  • Route 47 will only service stops between Belconnen and Whitlam.

  • For bus stops 2728 and 2729, please proceed to bus stop 2743 on Sculthorpe Avenue before Hazel Hawke Avenue for route 47 services to Belconnen.
  • For bus stop 2738, please procced to bus stop 2735 on John Gorton Drive after Sculthorpe Avenue for route 47 services to Belconnen.
  • For bus stop 2834, R10 services to the City and route 66 services to Cooleman Court will still service this stop.
  • R10 services to the City and route 66 services to Woden will still service these stops:
