New enterprise bargaining agreement to support weekend services


The ACT Government has delivered a new enterprise bargaining agreement for Transport Canberra employees, paving the way for an uplift in the frequency of scheduled Saturday afternoon bus services, planned to start in April 2024.

Transport Canberra staff have agreed to new incentives for permanent bus drivers and transport officers working weekend shifts. Ongoing driver recruitment, along with new incentives within the agreement, allow us to confidently deliver more reliable weekend services on Saturdays.

67% of eligible staff voted on the new agreement with a 95% vote in favour, demonstrating the high level of engagement staff have had in the process. Following the ballot positively supporting the new agreement, it will now be lodged for formal ratification by Fair Work Australia.
