GIO Stadium - Special events bus stop closures

Passengers please note there are temporary bus stop closures in the surrounding area of GIO Stadium during special events. For more information see the Service alerts and updates page.

CDC Canberra provides free charter services to Brumbies and Raiders games at GIO Stadium.

Belconnen

  • Departs Cohen Street Platform 1 at 17:05♿, 17:20♿, 17:35♿, 17:50♿, 18:00♿, 18:10♿, 18:20♿ and 18:35♿.
  • Departs Belconnen Westfield at 17:07♿, 17:22♿, 17:37♿, 17:52♿, 18:02♿, 18:12♿, 18:22♿ and 18:37♿.
  • Departs Belconnen Community Bus Station platform 1 at 17:15♿, 17:30♿, 17:45♿, 18:00♿, 18:10♿, 18:20♿, 18:30♿ and 18:45♿.
  • Services from Belconnen will be operated by Transport Canberra. The last bus will depart no later than 18:35 from Cohen Street.
  • The journey takes approximately 25 minutes from Cohen Street to GIO Stadium.

City

  • Departs City Interchange Platform 5 at 17:40♿, 17:45, 17:50, 17:55♿, 18:00♿, 18:05, 18:10, 18:15, 18:20♿, 18:25♿, 18:30, 18:35♿, 18:40 and 18:45♿.
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Gungahlin

  • Departs platform 3 at Gungahlin Bus Interchange at 17:20♿, 17:30♿, 17:40♿, 17:55♿, 18:10♿, 18:25♿, 18:40♿ and 18:55♿.
  • Services from Gungahlin will be operated by Transport Canberra. The last bus will depart no later than 18:55.
  • The journey takes approximately 20 minutes to GIO Stadium.

Queanbeyan

  • Departs platform 1 at 17:45 and 18:05♿.
  • The journey takes approximately 35 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

Tuggeranong

  • Departs platform 9 at Tuggeranong Interchange at 17:00, 17:20♿, 17:35, 17:45 and  17:55♿.
  • The journey takes approximately 60 minutes from Tuggeranong to GIO Stadium, via Woden and the City.

Woden

  • Departs platform 6 at Woden Interchange at 17:20♿, 17:25, 17:35♿, 17:40♿, 17:55, 18:00♿, 18:05, 18:15♿ and 18:20.
  • The journey takes approximately 40 minutes to GIO Stadium, via the City.

Return shuttles

Return shuttles will be departing from GIO Stadium approximately 20 minutes after event conclusion.

Getting there

Game attendees can travel free all day on public transport to and from the game – simply present your event ticket or membership and ride with us to the game.

There will also be FREE shuttle buses from all major interchanges to get passengers to and from the game with ease. These shuttle services will be operated by CDC Canberra with support from Transport Canberra.

Plan ahead

Please keep in mind the direct shuttle bus will not be reflected in Transport Canberra’s journey planner.

Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of Park and Ride facilities where possible.
