Applications
To apply please complete a student transport program application form. Applications are free and should be submitted 4 to 6 weeks before the school term begins. This allows time for the application to be processed before the start of the term.
Please attach a photocopy of your valid pensioner concession card or health care card to your application. We will use this to confirm that the student name appears on the card and check the parent or guardian signature.
Applications which are incorrectly completed will be returned. This could result in a delay in processing which may result in the student not receiving their concession by the commencement of the term. You will need to pay for the student's fare until your application is approved and processed.
MyWay cards
Students in the student transport program receive free travel school days and pay the MyWay student fare on non-school days.
Remember to tap on and tap off each service for the free fare to be applied. Failure to tap off may incur an additional charge.
Check the current balance and concession of a MyWay card online at Check MyWay balance.
If there is a MyWay card issue and the bus driver questions the student, please inform the driver you are on the student transport program.
Lost and faulty MyWay cards
Replacement student MyWay cards are available from MyWay agents. Once you have the new card, call 131710 and ask them to transfer the concession and travel balance to the new card.
